Even daily mopping and brushing of hard floors isn’t enough to keep them pristine and hygienically clean.
Over time dirt, grime and soil adheres to the porous service of the flooring even though they may be sealed.
Multi-purpose spaces require maintenance to clean and replace top sealer and polish.
These surfaces can include:-
- School dining rooms
- Assembly halls
- Sports halls & gyms
- Community letting halls
- Church halls
- Washrooms/ changing rooms
- High traffic hallways
In rooms with hardwood/parquet flooring that look a little tired with surface scratches, it can be assumed that a floor requires a full re-strip and finishing which costs a large amount of money.
This isn’t always necessary, often a deep clean, re-seal and polish is sufficient to re-vitalise a floor saving time and money.
The most commonly affected areas are under tables & chairs, sports equipment, in doorways & serving hatches
Before you consider re-stripping a floor I can run a test patch on a small area (1 mtr sq)
to determine if this is necessary.
Floors with obvious damage and broken varnish will undoubtedly require a full refurbish.
